The process of integration and interaction of economies around the world is called globalisation. It helps the nations to import and export goods and services from one another. Globalisation provides a competitive environment to the businesses. The acquirement of raw material is most likely to be done from the cheaper sources. The advancement in technology and transportation facilities has hastened the pace of globalisation. With the introduction of globalisation, nations started importing various goods. This offered a wider choice to the consumers and increased their standards of living. Also, the consumers can get the goods at cheaper prices due to competition. This helps in the reduction of manufacturing cost. Globalisation also helps in the upliftment of grain prices due to demand in other countries which in turn benefits the farmers. The higher connectivity made it easier for the individuals to see the effects of deforestation, climate change, global warming and loss of habitat. Consequently, new laws, rules and regulations have been formed to limit these effects.

The national security issues most impacted upon by globalisation are generally found to fall into three categories: the nature of security threats in a globalised world, the effects of the phenomenon of globalisation on the pursuit of national security, and the erosion of the exclusivity of the state as a provider of national security.National security not only includes military security but also considers other aspects too. It takes into account all dimensions such as human security 2 and nation power also. The major threats include financial instability, employment restructuring, global crime and human trafficking. Talking about financial instability, it is a threat to human security because with the increase in globalisation, more workforce is available due to the connectivity of nations and one can easliy lose her/his post with the employement of newcomers. In the same way, employment restructuring can be done. And human trafficking is one of the negative effects of globalisation. Yes, globalisation has negative effects too. Emphasizing on human trafficking, it is obvious that the connectivity, specifically transport and communication has lead to trafficking. The domestic goods aslo seem to be expensive while imports are being made. In my opinion, every coin has two facets. Since, globalisation has negative effects, it has positive effects too. Globalisation helps to increase the direct foreign investment in the nation. Another dual advantage of globalisation is the availability of variety of products in the market which in turn increases the standard of living of the consumers. Increased flow of capital, labour and improved international relations is another advantage of globalisation.
